BTS Tops iTunes In 73 Countries
'Love Yourself (Her)' conquers iTunes. It's been a history-making 24 hours for BTS.

It has been quite a week for chart firsts. Cardi B became the first female rapper to land a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in nearly 20 years, while BTS made history on the album chart. Love Yourself ‘Her’ debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200 with 31,000 album equivalent units (combined streams and downloads). That makes them the first K-Pop act to crack the top 10. But there’s more. The biggest boy band in the world also made waves on the Billboard Hot 100.

The group’s ruthlessly catchy banger “DNA” debuts at number 85 on the Billboard Hot 100. A number of K-Pop acts have graced the Hot 100 for English-language songs (Wonder Girls and CL spring to mind), but PSY is the only other act to do it with a Korean-language song. According to Billboard, the song was streamed 5.3 million times during its first week of release and racked up 14,000 downloads. The think pieces about BTS conquering K-Pop can end now. They clearly have their sights set on global domination and are well on their way to achieving it.
