Try another genre? Liam Payne's 'Strip That Down' video is as awkward as the song.

It’s official! Liam Payne has confirmed “Bedroom Floor” as his second solo single. The banger, which was co-written by Jacob Kasher and Charlie Puth, drops October 20. Expectations are high given the success of “Strip That Down,” which soared all the way to number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 — making him the third 1D alum to crack the top 10 after Zayn Malik and Harry Styles. (It should be noted that Niall Horan isn’t too far away from being the fourth with “Slow Hands” sitting pretty at number 11 this week).

I have to admit that “Strip That Down” didn’t work for me at all, but Liam and his team knew better. They somehow found room in the seemingly-crowded mainstream pop/R&B space currently ruled by Justin Bieber and laid the groundwork for a massively successful debut era. The 24-year-old is currently winding up promotion for his feature on Zedd’s “Get Low” and will then turn his focus to “Bedroom Floor.” See his announcement below.
