Beyonce Drops 'Mi Gente' Remix
Queen Bey jumps on a remix of J Balvin & Willy William's Latin smash 'Mi Gente.'

Chart history beckons as Beyonce’s remix of J Balvin & Willy William’s “Mi Gente” soars towards a top 3 placing on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. That will make Queen Bey one of only seven female artists to have a span of more than 20 years between top 10 hits. Of course, the 36-year-old’s first top 10 came way back in 1997 when Destiny’s Child took “No, No, No” all the way to number three. It also extends her streak of solo top 10 hits to 15 years. Her first came as the featured vocalist of Jay Z’s 2002 bop “’03 Bonnie & Clyde.”

Who else has managed this feat? Well, Cher leads the field with a whopping 33 years (1965 to 1998) between her first and last top 10 hit. Next up is Madonna with a 28 year span (1984 to 2012), followed by Tina Turner (1971 to 1993) and Dionne Warwick (1963 to 1985) with 22 years. That leaves Queen Bey, Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin with 20 years of peak hitmaking. Given the game-changing diva’s age-defying genes, you can’t help but think she will be churning out smashes for another couple of decades. Here’s hoping.
