A Q&A With PRETTYMUCH
We speak to PRETTYMUCH about boy band life and debut single, 'Would You Mind.'

This year’s most promising boy band, PRETTYMUCH, continues to push for a pop takeover with the release of their second single, “Teacher.” After making a bold debut on their ’90s-inspired “Would You Mind,” the group is showing off their pristine pop sensibilities on their latest track. They have teamed up with Swede-pop mastermind Ilya Salmanzadeh (Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift) for the release, and he’s provided them with another certified bop.

“You could be my teacher, you could be my boss. Oh, you could be my lover,” the boys sing over a buoyant production. Each member of the group has a moment to showcase their vocal chops, and they come together for some killer harmonies that set them apart from most of their competition. Add in a slick reference to Tinashe, and they have another earworm on their hands.

The group channels good vibes in the music video that dropped today (October 6). The visual doesn’t follow a traditional storyline; however, the boys appear to have a great time dancing around in a studio. The stripped back setting puts the focus firmly on the budding talents and their interactions as a group. Each of them gets a chance to shine and to showcase some impressive dance skills in a laid-back environment. The result is captivating.

PRETTYMUCH is gearing up to hit the road in support of Jack & Jack next month, and they’re sure to bring “Teacher” to life in an exciting way. Until then watch Brandon Arreaga, Nick Mara, Zion Kuwonu, Austin Porter and Edwin Honoret in action up top.
