Mariah Carey's 'Butterfly' Turns 20
Mimi's seminal 'Butterfly' album is being released on picture disc vinyl.

As you probably already know, the Queen of Christmas (AKA Mariah Carey) lends all five octaves to The Star — an upcoming holiday movie about the birth of Christ. She performs the title track, which sounds like a classic Mimi ballad from the very short snippet in the trailer. This is every bit as captivating as “Almost Home,” the diva’s criminally slept-on contribution to Oz The Great And Powerful. In fact, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” might not be her only song on the charts in December.

However, there’s a lot more to The Star than one power ballad. The soundtrack also includes new music from Fifth Harmony (“Can You See” drops on October 17), Zara Larsson (she covers “Mary, Did You Know”), A Great Big World (listen to “Life Is Good” here) and Kelsea Ballerini (“Children Go Where I Send You”). See the full tracklist and watch the soundtrack trailer below. The album drops November 17.
