Rita Ora's Quirky 'Your Song' Video
Different! Rita Ora finds love in a corporate place in her offbeat 'Your Song' video.

“Your Song” was pleasant enough in an inoffensive dance-pop kind of way, but hardly good enough to kickstart a music career with as many stops and starts as Rita Ora’s. She might have more luck with “Anytime,” however. Reportedly produced by the all-star crew of Alesso, Sir Nolan and Watt, the Brit’s new single is a delightfully offbeat pop song about getting the fuck out of LA. “Time flies by when the night is young, daylight shines on an unexposed location,” she sings over an acoustic arrangement, before things take an unexpected turn.

“Over the hills and far away, a million miles from LA,” Rita coos on the ABBA-like chorus. “Just anywhere away with you, I know we’ve got to get away someplace where no one knows our name.” That’s already curious enough in 2017, but throw in a cute post-chorus drop and you’ve got something truly original. I thought the 26-year-old’s sophomore/debut album (depending on your location) was supposed to be a soulful opus about London, but I’m not complaining. This is a very pleasant surprise.
