Selena Gomez & Marshmello's 'Wolves'
Selena's impressive track record of club collabs continues with 'Wolves.'

Selena Gomez and Marshmello’s “Wolves” dropped earlier today (October 25) and it sounds like a hit. A epic club banger with romantic lyrics, the track begins like a throwback to the acoustic-laced EDM that Avicii pioneered in 2013, before transforming into something completely different with an ’80s-evoking post-chorus moment. It succeeds in creating atmosphere and reinforces how good the pop diva’s breathy vocals sound over synths. “It Ain’t Me” could have some competition as Selena’s most successful club collaboration of 2017.

The odd couple dropped a cute, DIY video for the song (it’s exclusive to Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist), which finds them facetiming in the Hollywood Hills. They also released a visualizer — an audio stream of the song with a moving image — on YouTube. It depicts Selena perched on a diving board in an evening gown intercut with a close-up of her eyes. The imagery seems to be taken from the official video (so many visuals!), which looks like it was filmed in a swimming pool. Watch up top.
