15 Years Of Xtina's 'Stripped'
We reflect on the enduring impact of Christina Aguilera's 'Stripped' LP.

It’s not the new single we’ve all been craving, but I’ll take it! Christina Aguilera has been confirmed as a performer at the 2017 American Music Awards on November 19. She has been chosen to pay tribute to Whitney Houston on the 25th anniversary of her mega-selling The Bodyguard soundtrack. I guess that means she will belt out “I Will Always Love You” or perhaps a medley of songs. (Imagine Xtina singing “Queen Of The Night”!) The Lotus diva might dust off “Run To You,” which she previously performed at a BET tribute.

“I am excited, honored and humbled to perform a tribute to one of my idols, Whitney Houston for the 25th Anniversary of ‘The Bodyguard’ at the @AMAs! 11/19 on ABC,” Christina wrote on Instagram. This ties in nicely with the released of I Wish You Love: More From The Bodyguard. The album, which drops November 17, combines previously unreleased live recordings, alternate versions of hit songs and an unused remix. The must-have for hardcore fans (or anyone feeling nostalgic for the ’90s) will be available on CD and limited edition purple vinyl.
