Nick Jonas & Shania Twain Team Up For “Say All You Want For Christmas”

EDIT: Updated with full song at bottom of post.

Nick Jonas and Shania Twain are the latest hitmakers to take a detour into festive pop. The duo officially teamed up for an original Christmas song called “Say All You Want For Christmas,” and it is dropping at midnight tonight (November 9). The “Find You” crooner announced the collaboration on Twitter. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year…..isn’t it @shaniatwain,” he tweeted alongside a teaser of the single.

Based on the preview, it seems like the song is going to be a romantic duet. “When we’re all alone and I hold you close, everything I need. Say all you want for Christmas is me,” they harmonize over a sprawling production. Their voices blend nicely, and the surprise release is shaping up to be a hit.

In an interview with Billboard earlier this year, Nick hinted that he had a handful of holiday tracks in the works. He also opened up about the struggle of creating an original festive release that resonates with an audience and stands apart from the classics. “It’s kind of challenging because you think, you know, do I want to do the traditional Christmas vibe, or give it a flip and do something different with it? I took that approach. I wrote songs that kind of sound like they could be on any one of my records, but they happen to be about Christmas.”

Hopefully his efforts pay off in the long run. The last few months have yielded a bountiful collection of Christmas material. Gwen Stefani kicked things off with her album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, and Sia put a tropical spin on the season with her single “Santa’s Coming For Us” ahead of her own LP. Christmas Queen Mariah Carey is also getting in on the fun with a handful of releases in the works.

However, Nick and Shania’s collaboration is bound to get people talking. Although they have performed together at Stagecoach Festival this year, it is a pleasant surprise to see that they hit the studio together. If the unlikely pairing play their cards right, they could end up with something magical! Get a sample of the song below!
