Shawn Mendes Is Dropping A Live Album
How retro! Shawn is releasing an 'MTV Unplugged' live album in November.

The MTV EMAs were held in London last night (November 12) and Shawn Mendes was the big winner. The 19-year-old won the award for Best Song for “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” as well as Best Artist. He also took home the prize for having the best fans. Other winners included Zayn Malik (apparently he has the Best Look) and Dua Lipa, who won the Best New Artist category. It’s hard to dispute either of those choices or Kendrick Lamar winning for Best Video. After all, “Humble” is in a league of its own.

There were some dubious winners, however. Eminem admitted that he hadn’t released anything in years, but was still somehow named Best Hip-Hop Artist. Other eyebrow-raising winners include Thirty Seconds To Mars winning Best Alternative Act over Lorde and Lana Del Rey, and Camila Cabello winning Best Pop Artist over Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus. See the full list of winners below.

Winner’s List:

  • Best Song — Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”
