Post Malone's Bloody 'Rockstar'
Post Malone and 21 Savage's 'Rockstar' video is a bloody, blurry spectacle.

Post Malone is currently spending his 8th week at number one with “Rockstar.” Assisted by 21 Savage, the hazy stoner-anthem has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2017 on the back of outrageous streaming numbers. (It has already racked up more than 500 million streams on Spotify). The song’s stint at number one is predicted to come to an end next week given massive first-week downloads of Ed Sheeran and Beyonce’s “Perfect Duet,” but they might spend a single week on top.

It looks like the rapper is hungry to extend his reign, announcing a Latin remix of “Rockstar” featuring Nicky Jam and Ozuna. The popularity of Latin music on streaming services can’t be overemphasized (see YouTube’s top 10 most-watched videos of 2017), which means that this should bring in huge numbers and possibly return the song to number one. It doesn’t always work, however. Camila Cabello dropped a Latin remix of “Havana” in a bid to topple Post Malone and came up short. Needless to say, it’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
