Britney Spears Rings In 2018 With Two Performances On ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’

Britney Spears delivered the first televised performance of 2018 on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The pop princess announced that she would be taking over the high-profile show in order to celebrate the final performance of her Las Vegas residency. Joining the likes of Mariah Carey, Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson and Camila Cabello, she helped to ring in the new year with a series of energizing numbers.

Since her final Piece Of Me show took place at the same time, she recorded renditions of “Toxic” and “Work Bitch” to air over the course of the night. In typical Brit fashion, both numbers involved bold costumes and tightly choreographed feats. Dressed in a bedazzled silver two-piece, the 36-year-old appeared confident as she worked her way through “Work Bitch” on her stage in Planet Hollywood.

She took over again following Mariah’s triumphant return to the show to perform “Toxic.” Airing immediately after the ball dropped in New York City, Britney pulled out all the stops for her first big moment in 2018. This time dressed in a daring red outfit she made use of her larger-than-life set-pieces to deliver another electrifying moment.

It is unclear what is next for the “Slumber Party” siren. Rumors are abounding that she is gearing up to hit the road for a series of performances in 2018. However, so far her only confirmed appearance is a headlining set at Smukfest Festival in Denmark this August. After touring Asia and wrapping up her Vegas residency in 2017, she will hopefully hit the road to perform for more fans across the globe. After all, she will be celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the release of “Baby One More Time” this year. Watch Brit work her way through “Work Bitch” up top and then ring in 2018 with “Toxic” below!
