Camila Cabello Delivers A Visual Spectacle With “Never Be The Same” On ‘Jimmy Fallon’

Camila Cabello stole the show on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The 20-year-old stopped by a screening last night (January 10) for the debut performance of her current single, “Never Be The Same,” and she lit up the night with live vocals and a visually arresting stage. On Twitter, the hitmaker referred to the performance as “my favorite thing I’ve ever done.” After watching the visual it is clear why: She absolutely delivered.

Performing alone, Camila was surrounded by mirrors on two sides. Dressed in a metallic gown and bedazzled bodysuit, she showcased her full vocal range and enlivened the song with some of her signature flourishes. What really made the performance were the visually arresting images that were projected on the mirrors around her. Footage of flowers, city streets and finally a fiery explosion created infinite reflections, providing the perfect background for the set.

Without a horde or dancers or pyrotechnics, Camila delivered one of her strongest and most memorable moments to date. The budding solo star is getting serious as she prepares to unleash her debut album Friday (January 12), and the performance will hopefully give “Never Be The Same” a push up the charts next week. Currently, the track is sitting in the lower reaches of the Billboard Hot 100 while “Havana” has climbed back up to the number 2 position. If she has a couple more high-quality appearances in the works, she may take her new single to the top spot. Watch her work it out up top!
