Shakira’s first collaboration with Maluma, “Chantaje,” was a worldwide smash and boasts one of the most-viewed videos of all time (two billion and counting). Needless to say, expectations are high for the sequel. The Colombian superstars reunite for “Trap,” the latest single from the “Whenever, Wherever” hitmaker’s Grammy-winning El Dorado album. The visual for the sexy banger arrived on Friday (January 26) and it’s a suitably sensual affair.
The black-and-white video finds Shakira and Maluma writhing around in water, serving sexy looks and even a little choreography. It’s subtle, but suits the track perfectly – after all, it’s also a case of less is more. As expected, the clip is already a blockbuster. “Trap” was viewed more than 15 million times in the first 24 hours, another reminder that the 40-year-old is still one of the biggest pop stars on the planet.
