The 50 Best Songs Of 2017
From "Slow Hands" to "Bad Liar," we round up the best pop songs of 2017.

Tove Styrke can do no wrong. After dropping two of the best pop songs of 2017 (“Say My Name” and “Mistakes”) as well as a blindingly good cover of Lorde’s “Liability,” the Swedish diva picks up where she left off with “Changed My Mind.” Produced by frequent collaborator Elof Loelv, the bouncy bop documents an on-again/off-again relationship — during an ‘on’ phase! “I said I wouldn’t try another time, but I’m down right now,” she coos over mellow synths. “Feel the opposite about you.”

That takes us the kind of instantly catchy chorus that only comes from Scandinavia. “Ooh pull me closer and I changed my mind, ooh it ain’t over and I changed my mind,” Tove declares. “I wasn’t really sure about us, but now I’m pretty sure about us.” As with the 25-year-old’s other recent singles, “Changed My Mind” occupies a pleasing space between alt and mainstream-pop. With any luck this could be the song that lifts her profile to the next level. Listen to the brilliant banger from midnight ET below.
