New music from Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd & SZA on the 'Black Panther' soundtrack.

Black Panther (in theaters February 16) is shaping up to be the movie event of the year. As such, it demands an epic soundtrack and the label really came through with an album featuring the who’s who of hip-hop and world music. Kendrick Lamar contributes five songs including “Pray For Me,” a collaboration with The Weeknd, and “All The Stars” — a soaring duet with SZA. Directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies, the video dropped today and it’s a visually striking love letter to Africa.

The clip begins with Kendrick sailing on a sea of hands, from there he lords over stylized cityscape. While the rapper’s backdrops are gritty and reflect the inequality and struggle faced by Africans, SZA’s are dreamy and colorful — an ode to the continent’s endless beauty and natural wonders. The collaborators come together towards the end of the video as they find themselves in an Egyptian tomb. There K. Dot comes face to face with a trio of giant goddesses.
