The Best Latin Pop Songs Of 2017
From 'Mi Gente' to 'Despacito,' we round up the best Latin pop songs of 2017.

With Latin music hotter than ever thanks to massive crossover hits like “Despacito” and “Mi Gente,” it’s the perfect time for Claudia Leitte to roll out a (predominantly) English banger. The Brazilian superstar reunites with Pitbull on “Carnaval” — an instantly catchy, hip-swinging party anthem. The duo, who previously joined forces for 2014 FIFA World Cup theme song “We Are One (Ole Ola),” have serious chemistry. “We made history together, opened up the World Cup,” Mr. Worldwide introduces their collaboration. “We ’bout to do it again, now baby, buckle up!”

The video dropped over the weekend and it’s going to attract eyeballs. It begins with Claudia and Pitbull hanging out in, around and on top of a car, before things get a little sexy. The flawless diva serves a couple of looks before stripping off altogether for a sequence where she wears body-paint and nothing else. (Think Britney Spears’ iconic “Toxic” look on heat). There’s no reason why Claudia can’t enjoy the international success of countrywoman Anitta and fellow Latin heavyweights like Maluma, J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Watch her in action up top.
