Meghan Trainor Teams Up With Zumba For “No Excuses” Dance Video
Meghan Trainor isn’t playing with “No Excuses.” Since the Andrew Wells-produced single dropped on Thursday (March 1), she has performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and gone on a radio tour. The 24-year-old now teams up with Zumba for a cute dance video. Choreography and Meghan haven’t mixed that well in the past, but she gets out of this with her dignity intact. After all, isn’t the whole point of Zumba to step out of your comfort zone and have a little fun? Happily, the pop star’s promo blast seems to be working.
The pastel-hued “No Excuses” video (below) has racked up close to 6 million videos over the weekend, while the song is comfortably lodged in the top 5 on iTunes. Given healthy radio adds (it just cracked the top 40 on the pop airplay chart), it looks like Meghan has another hit on her hands. What can we expect from the “Me Too” singer’s third album? “POP!” she declared on Twitter. “ABBA meets Late 90s Britney Spears meets 80s. Big anthems! Lost of vocals. Something for everyone!” Sounds good to me.
