BIGBANG Interview
We speak to BIGBANG about their reunion, world tour and 'MADE' album.

While BTS has taken over as K-Pop’s most visible act around the globe, it’s important to remember that BIGBANG paved the way for them — pushing the genre closer and closer to the mainstream with a decade of hits. The quintet recently announced that they are taking a little break while multiple members complete their obligatory military service. But before they go, the boys decided to share one last song with fans. “Flower Road” is a fitting goodbye, highlighting the band’s special relationship with fans over a slick, mid-tempo groove.

“This is not the end of us, I hope we’ll meet again when the flowers are blooming,” G-Dragon raps on the song (BIGBANG kindly provides English subtitles). That sentiment is reiterated by Daesung and Taeyang. “If you want to leave, I understand,” they sing. “I’ll scatter flowers on the road you’ll walk on, but if you ever miss me — please come back.” I don’t think the band needs to worry about fans going anywhere. YG Entertainment had to ask fans to stop sending emails to G-Dragon’s army unit when the sheer volume crashed the battalion’s server.
