Sean Paul, David Guetta & Becky G’s Neon-Drenched “Mad Love” Video
Sean Paul returned earlier this month with “Mad Love,” an explosive banger featuring David Guetta and Becky G. The video arrives today (March 15) and it’s an appropriately sexy affair. Directed by Sarah McColgan, the clip takes place in a makeshift club where the dancehall legend surrounds himself with beautiful women and Ms Gomez writhes in a bathtub under neon lights. As for the French DJ? Well, he just kind of creeps around leaning on walls. Given that Becky’s last video generated one billion views, this is destined to get a lot of eyeballs.
Since debuting in 2000, Sean Paul has proved to be one of the most consistent and enduring artists of the 21st century. The hits have never really dried up (I guess there was a lean-ish patch in the early ’10s) and he’s experiencing something of a revival. The 45-year-old topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016 thanks to a cameo on Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” (his fourth) and notched another top 10 hit with a feature on Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye.” Get into the hitmaker’s latest bop up top.
