Eminem and Ed Sheeran ruminate on love in their gritty, depressing 'River' video.

Eminem teases his “Framed” video (release date unknown) with a news bulletin. It begins with the rapper sitting in a lounge room surrounded by blood, guts and body parts as a reporter declares that he’s wanted for murder. From there, we see him walking the hallways of what appears to be some kind of institution. But before we accuse the 45-year-old of turning to the dark side, the song’s title suggests that it might be a setup. After dropping a couple of gritty videos, it’s exciting that Em is back with a blockbuster.

As expected, Eminem’s Revival LP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 (his seventh consecutive chart-topper), but the singles haven’t been massive — at least by his standards. “Walk On Water,” a high-profile collaboration with Beyonce, stalled outside the top 10, while “Nowhere Fast” came and went without charting. The exception has been “River.” Featuring Ed Sheeran, the gloomy track topped the charts in the UK and went top 10 around the world. Hopefully, “Framed” keeps that momentum going. Watch below.
