New Find: Laura Jean's 'Touchstone'
Laura Jean dabbles in synth-pop on 'Touchstone' and gets Lorde's seal of approval.

Sabrina Claudio generated all kinds of heat in 2017 with an independently-released EP called Confidently Lost and a 12-track mixtape. The latter, About Time, contained her breakout hit “Belong To You” — a song that introduced her breathy, genre-bending style (R&B, jazz and Latin music collide) to much wider audience. Since then, she has contributed a track to the star-studded Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack and been in the studio cooking up something new for 2018. The first taste of that project arrives today (April 2) and it’s a heady concoction.

Produced by Sad Money, “All To You” could be Sabrina’s sexist anthem yet. “You’re begging, I can feel your knees sinking,” she coos at the beginning of the song. “When did this bed turn into water? Is it that good?” From there, it just gets more explicit. “My Love, my flower. Is she that good?” You get the drift. Given the viral success of the Miami-born singer’s EP and mixtape, big things are expected from her this year — particularly with the weight of Atlantic Records behind her. Listen to “All To You” and drift off below.
