The 50 Best Songs Of 2017
From "SGL" to "Bad Liar," we round up the best pop songs of 2017.

After a five-year hiatus, Minneapolis duo Now, Now returned in summer, 2017 and casually dropped the best song of the year. A hazy, windows-down indie-pop anthem, “SGL” is the kind of song that lodges in your brain like a tumor. That kind of earworm usually comes along once a career, but KC Dalager and Bradley Hale did it again a couple of months later with the equally addicting “Yours.” They now make it three from three with “AZ,” the latest gem from their third LP, Saved (due May 18). You can pre-order the album here.

The Alexa San Román-directed video for “AZ” arrived today and it’s an eerie experience that uses close-ups and shadowy lighting to convey the discontent that seethes beneath the seemingly nostalgic song. But wait, there’s more! Now, Now also announced a string of US tour dates. Kicking off in Chicago on July 7, the 22-date trek crisscrosses North America before winding up in Denver, Colorado on August 4. Given the quality of their recent singles, this is going to be a hot ticket. See all of the dates below.
