Kylie Minogue's 'Golden': Album Review
We dissect Kylie's country-pop reinvention on 2018's very good 'Golden.'

Kylie Minogue winds up her US promo blitz with an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden. The Aussie pop star belted out “Dancing,” delivering a typically accomplished performance complete with a full band wearing “KM” embossed denim shirts. The production wasn’t as elaborate as it was for Late Night With Seth Meyers, but her vocal was spot on and she appeared to be having enormous fun. After providing the entertainment, the “Stop Me From Falling” singer sat down for a chat.

Of course, Kylie and James are old friends (they even recorded a song together), so no topic was off limits. She started by recounting her meeting with Dolly Parton before a show at the Hollywood Bowl, and then explained how London producers didn’t quite get her vision for a country-pop album. The 49-year-old also taught the talk show host and fellow guest Benedict Cumberbatch how to line-dance, and then opened up about attending a drag show full of Kylie lookalikes. Watch the enduring diva perform up top and catch the interview below.
