Jess Glynne's 'I Cry When I Laugh': Album Review
We know that she's a club queen with mega-hits but does her debut live up to the hype?

UPDATE: The Brit’s new single is a gospel-flecked anthem that showcases her brilliant vocals. Watch the striking video below.

This is an insane week for new music. Just to recap, here are some of the major releases. Florence + The Machine returns to the pop scene with “Hunger,” while Julia Michaels introduces her debut LP with “Jump.” And let’s not forget Diplo, who teams up with Sia and Labrinth for “LSD.” When you factor in potential new singles from Ariana Grande (the arrival of “R.E.M” is looking quite likely) and Christina Aguilera, you have one of the most stacked New Music Fridays in recent memory. And now you can add another name to that list.

Jess Glynne kicks off her sophomore era on Friday (May 4) with a new single called “I’ll Be There.” (I don’t think it’s a cover of the Jackson 5 classic, but you never know). While the 28-year-old’s star is still on the rise in the US, she is an established force in the UK with six number one hits to her credit. The latest, Rudimental’s “These Days,” only ascended to the top a couple of weeks ago. Given her immense popularity, expect the hitmaker’s latest is expected to be massive. See the glamorous cover below.
