From “Style” To “Delicate,” Charli XCX Lists Her Top 10 Taylor Swift Songs
Charli XCX is currently supporting Taylor Swift on the Reputation Stadium Tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona on May 8, and decided to get into the spirit by sharing her top 10 Taylor anthems. As expected, given the Brit’s electro-pop aesthetic, 1989 and Reputation are heavily represented. And while it’s hard to argue with the inclusion of gems like “Style” and “Blank Space,” the high rankings of “Gorgeous” and “End Game” are a little surprising. Particularly when “Shake It Off” exists.
As for the rest of Taylor’s discography, Charli clearly got her life from Red. She includes “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “22,” which are both non-problematic choices. Fearless is also represented by “Love Story,” but I’m kind of mad at the exclusion of anything from the hitmaker’s best album, 2010’s Speak Now. (“Mean” and “Mine” truly deserved!) And let’s not get started on “Our Song” and “Picture To Burn” being snubbed. I might have to come up with my own top 10 to right these wrongs, but check out the “Vroom Vroom” singer’s faves below.
