From Ariana Grande to Janet Jackson, watch all the 2018 BBMAs performances.

Tonight is the night of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, and it is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded evenings in music this year. The event is taking place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is hosted by Kelly Clarkson. With highly anticipated performances from the likes of Ariana Grande, BTS, Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato, it is sure to be a memorable night for live music. But the question remains who will come out on top when it comes time to claim the awards.

With 15 nominations each, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar led the pool of nominees. The trio are competing with one another for the title of Top Artist, Top Male Artist and in several other categories. It will be interesting to see where they finish the night. It is another male-dominated list this year, but Cardi B is trailing closely behind as the most-nominated woman with 8 nods in categories including Top Female Artist and Top New Artist. In both she is competing with Camila Cabello, and the “Havana” siren is sure to give her some serious competition.

Awards are already being announced on the BBMA’s Twitter account, and things are looking very good for some of the most-nominated artists. Kendrick has taken home 6, Bruno nabbed 5 awards and Ed accumulated 4 before the show even started. Other notable winners include Drake who took home the honor of Top Billboard 200 Artist, SZA who beat out Beyonce and Rihanna for the honor of Top R&B Female Artist while Maren Morris swept the Top Country Female Artist category. Meanwhile The Chainsmokers are making a strong showing in the EDM categories. The duo picked up the title of Top Dance/Electronic Album and Top Dance/Electronic Song.

Who will take home the awards once the show officially airs tonight (May 20)? All will be revealed in time. While we wait for the show to start, reacquaint yourself with the nominees here and check back throughout the night to find out who won what. Also keep an eye peeled for our post on the performances here and red carpet looks here. We’ll be updating the winners list (below) in real time.
