Robyn Debuts 'Honey' On 'Girls'
Is new Robyn finally on the way? The Swedish pop star debuted 'Honey' on 'Girls.'

The good news? Robyn’s followup to 2010’s seminal Body Talk is coming. Unfortunately, it’s not finished yet. The Swedish pop star opened up about the long-awaited opus during a Q&A with producer Kindness at the Red Bull Music Festival in New York last night (May 22). “The whole process of making this album has been very, very different from anything I’ve done before,” she revealed. “It’s not finished yet, but it’s almost there… I felt very raw when I started making this album.”

“No filters and I started it on my own in my studio listening to music I love, dancing and making beats,” Robyn continued. “And that’s how I started. I wanted to start on my own before collaborating this time because I had some things that I wanted to try. I love to collaborate, it’s one of the things that I’ve always done and always will do, but I wanted to just flesh it out a little bit on my own before I brought other people into the process. And so it was an amazing period for me… I got in touch with a sensuality and a softness that I wanted to explore.”

One have already heard one song from the album, however. “Honey” appeared on an episode of Girls, but was never released. For a very simple reason. “I wasn’t happy with it,” Robyn admits, “but people seem to like it, so it’s been out there for a while.” She added that the new version sounds completely different.
