The Drop: Jain & SHY Martin
Your guide to New Music Friday featuring gems from Jain and SHY Martin.

A batch of must-see music videos popped up on YouTube today (May 30). Tierra Whack’s 15-minute “Whack World” has to be seen to be believed, while Maggie Rogers rolled out the visual for “Fallingwater.” The singer/songwriter’s debut EP, Now That The Light Is Falling, produced a string of mesmerizing singles (“Alaska” and “Dog Years,” in particular) and she picks up where she left off with another dreamy gem. Directed by Zia Anger, the clip was filmed at California’s Imperial Sand Dunes and finds the songstress indulging in a little interpretative dance.

Another video deserving your immediate attention is Marshmello, Juicy J and James Arthur’s “You Can Cry.” This is a different sound for the bucket-headed DJ with its heavy, hip-hop beats and acoustic instruments. The video is a stylized dinner party, which finds the collaborators wearing white. Last but not least is RL Grime and Daya’s “I Wanna Know.” The video, which references ’90s and early ’00s pop culture, is a colorful affair that promotes female empowerment. Watch today’s new visuals above and below.
