Chemistry & Skateboarding In Clean Bandit & Demi Lovato’s “Solo” Video
Demi Lovato is nothing if not prolific. The pop star, who recently announced that the Tell Me You Love Me era is over, has two collaborations out at the moment — “Fall In Line,” her emotional duet with Christina Aguilera, and “Solo.” The latter is a collaboration with UK electronic outfit Clean Bandit and has been interpreted by some as a masturbation anthem. I assume it’s more about celebrating your independence, but there’s something to be said about an ode to taking matters into your own hands.
The video arrives today (May 31) and it’s suitably offbeat. Demi looks as stunning as ever while a quasi plot unfolds around her. There’s a little skateboarding, a woman feeling herself — literally — on a deck chair and a musical chemistry experiment that turns men into colorful dogs… after their heads explode.
