Ariana Grande Covers ‘Vogue UK,’ Hints At Another Nicki Minaj Collaboration

Ariana Grande said goodbye to her iconic ponytail in a photoshoot with Vogue UK. The 24-year-old debuted a fresh, new look on the cover, which was released yesterday (June 4). Shot by Craig McDean, she gazes out from behind a curtain of voluminous, blonde hair. An alternative cover is even more whimsical as she poses with a flower in hand. Several more photos from the shoot appeared online today, and they are equally impressive. In one she radiates joy while wearing a royal blue hoodie and showing off a “Baby Doll” finger tattoo. Others see her posing with vinyl records. The “No Tears Left To Cry” siren is becoming quite the cover girl. Last month she posed for The FADER and opened up about what to expect on her new LP, Sweetener.

Things are heating up for Ari as the album approaches. The diva live-premiered her Nicki Minaj-assisted “The Light Is Coming” during an appearance at Wango Tango over the weekend. It will be officially released on June 20, and it may offer the pair an opportunity to top the Billboard Hot 100. Anticipation is still high for Drake to appear on the track, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. That’s not all though. It seems like we can look forward a second duet between the “Side To Side” partners later this year.

The “Greedy” hitmaker sparked a rumor of another collaboration when she revealed that she and Nicki had already recorded a video for “The Light Is Coming.” “We already shot dat one,” she teased. Immediately, fans latched onto the phrase “dat one,” and asked if another song was in the works. The “Chun-Li” rapper kept things coy when she responded. Using only emojis, she implied another secret was on the way. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if another track appears on her Queen LP later this year.
