FRANKIE caught everyone’s attention (and won Taylor Swift’s approval) with “New Obsession” — one of five indie-pop gems on 2016 EP, Dreamstate. Since then, she has been chipping away at her debut album and strikes gold with the unexpectedly relatable “Ghost,” a pop song about the phenomenon of seemingly connecting with someone only to never hear from them again. The Oakland, California singer calls on Scott Hoying to help her dissect ghosting, which comes to life further in a Grease-inspired video.

There are so many things to love about this. For starters, the way that FRANKIE plays with gender stereotypes by taking on the role of the ghost-or (while Scott is the ghost-ee) as well as the deliriously queer choreography and the fact that crack in a can — i.e. La Croix — is referenced in the lyrics. And then there’s the video, which references key Grease moments including the iconic makeover scene. With a catchy song and an impossibly cute visual, there’s every reason to believe this will go viral. Watch up top.
