Sexy: Nicki Minaj & Ariana Grande Reunite On Their Breezy Bop, “Bed”

Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande have had a busy week. The “Chun-Li” rapper kicked things off by announcing a joint tour with Future and unveiling a new collaboration off her forthcoming LP. Teaming up with Young Money partner in crime, Lil Wayne, she claimed the top spot on US iTunes with “Rich Sex.” Meanwhile, Ari teamed up with Troye Sivan to roll out their vibey anthem “Dance To This,” which is sitting at the number two spot on US iTunes at the time of publication. Today (June 14) they reunite on their new single “Bed.” Considering their winning record with previous collaborations including “Side To Side” and “Bang Bang,” it was safe to assume this would be massive. And they pulled through; “Bed” is easily the best track we have heard off Queen yet.

“Got a bed with your name on it,” Ari sensually coos on the opening lines. “Got a kiss with your name on it.” Nicki comes in to deliver some equally enticing verses. “Strawberry lingerie. Waiting for you, strawberries lingerie. You told me you want a way. Messed around, messed around. Put it down,” she raps. Boasting a smooth production and some flirty flourishes, this will be right at home on radio and should dominate streaming services. Based on some photos the pair have posted on social media, it looks like a video is on the way. When it drops, it is sure to push the single even further up the charts.

The duo are scheduled to return next week with the release of Ari’s second Sweetener single, “The Light Is Coming.” The 24-year-old previewed a portion of the track during a performance at Wango Tango earlier this month, and it sounds equally impressive. Over militaristic beats the pair trade off some empowering lines. Rumor has it Drake may appear on the track as well, but we’ll have to wait and see if that collaboration comes through. Either way, it is clear that Nicki and Ari will shortly have two anthems burning up the Billboard Hot 100. Give their first collab of the month a spin below!
