Album Review: Xtina's 'Liberation'
Was Christina Aguilera's 'Liberation' worth the six-year wait? Read our review.

Preliminary sales data is in and it looks like Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s Everything Is Love will debut at number one on the Billboard 200. However, the race is tighter than expected. On pure sales alone, 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Youngblood would be a chart-topper. It is expected to sell 90,000+ copies compared to The Carters’ 70,000+ copies. The positions reverse when streaming is taken into consideration. Queen Bey and Hov’s total soars to between 115,000 and 125,000 units, while 5SOS only increases to 113,000 – 118,000 units.

Of course, Everything Is Love had one less sales day (it dropped on a Saturday) and isn’t available physically. Which makes their numbers even more impressive. Christina Aguilera’s Liberation is also headed for the top five. She is predicted to debut at number four with 68,000 to 73,000 units (SPS). While Xtina’s physical sales are impressive, the vocal queen suffers when it comes to streaming. It seems her fans like to do things the old-fashioned way. Given the underperformance of her singles, I think this tally counts as a big win.
