Hayley Kiyoko's 'Expectations' Interview
We speak to Hayley about her killer debut LP and being an out pop star.

Hayley Kiyoko’s star continues to rise with another killer performance on late-night TV. The 27-year-old dropped by Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform “He’ll Never Love You (HNLY)” from her hit debut album, Expectations. The “Curious” hitmaker served vocals and dance moves, making her through a tightly-choreographed routine without missing a note. She is definitely coming into her own as a live performer, and now has the stage presence to match her feisty, danceable pop songs.

2018 has been a breakthrough year for Hayley. After building a loyal following with EPs, she finally unleashed her an album and debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200. Most importantly, the singer/songwriter made the leap to pop stardom while proudly representing the LGBTQ+ community both in her lyrics (“What I Need,” her duet with Kehlani, is a great example) and on social media (she was one of the first out artists to speak up about “Girls”). Watch Hayley do her thing up top.
