5SOS Go Pop On 'Want You Back'
They're back! 5 Seconds Of Summer returns with the pop-leaning 'Want You Back.'

Well, the predictions were wrong! 5 Seconds Of Summer did the seemingly impossible by snatching number one away from Beyoncé and JAY-Z on the Billboard 200. Their Youngblood album sold 142,000 units (sales and streaming), while The Carters’ Everything Is Love could only manage 123,000 units. Of course, the latter was rolled out as a TIDAL exclusive on a Saturday afternoon without a physical release, which explains the situation somewhat. But still, Queen Bey’s last two albums sold hundreds of thousands of copies in less time. This is a rare misstep from the duo.

As for 5SOS, they made chart history as the first Australian act to land three number one albums and the first rock band to debut at number one with their first three albums. It was also a pretty good week for Christina Aguilera. Legend X struggled with singles (“Accelerate” and “Fall In Line” failed to chart), but Liberation debuts at number six on the Billboard 200 with 68,000 units sold (sales and streaming). That makes it the comeback queens 7th top 10 album and first in six years. Bring on the next single!
