Niall Horan Announces New Single “Finally Free” From ‘Small Foot’
Well, here’s some good news to start the week! Niall Horan is releasing a new single on Friday (July 6) called “Finally Free.” The song will feature in an upcoming animated movie called Small Foot, which the former One Direction star raved about on Twitter. “This song will be part of the soundtrack for the movie,” the 24-year-old tweeted. “From the minute I seen a small clip from it, I was in straight away… it’s a must see.” He also shared the cover art on social media (below).
It will be interesting to see if this spells the end of the Flicker era. The Irishman has delivered one of the most successful 1D solo albums — both commercially and critically. The folk-pop album produced two top 20 hits (“This Town” and “Slow Hands”) and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, while critics praised Niall for finding his own voice and sound. The album’s latest singles (“Too Much To Ask” and “On The Loose”) haven’t had as much impact, but it might be worth rolling out a fifth given that the Flicker World Tour is still in full swing.
