Album Review: Xtina's 'Liberation'
Was Christina Aguilera's 'Liberation' worth the six-year wait? Read our review.

Christina Aguilera should be flying high since dropping her new album, Liberation. The 37-year-old soared into the top 10 of the Billboard 200 in her first week of release after moving a respectable 68,000 units (sales and streaming). After a lengthy gap between projects, the album was met with warm reviews. It has been heralded as a return to form, and the diva is undeniably on top of her game. She has delivered a handful of strong promotional performances and is gearing up to hit the road on a tour later this year. However, recently Star Magazine claimed that the hitmaker has been dropped from her label, RCA. A story in the publication’s last issue cites an unnamed source and claims she had a “bad attitude” while working on the LP.

“She wouldn’t listen to any of their suggestions about the album, and as a result, it had really mixed reviews,” the source claimed. “Don’t expect RCA to work on more material with Christina. They’re over her.” Rude. Xtina’s team fought back against the claims. In a statement shared with GossipCop yesterday (July 4), a rep revealed that Star moved forward with their story despite knowing it was untrue. “We gave them a quote from [RCA] saying it’s not true. Star chose not to include.” The pop princess, who recently revealed that she does not care about the charts, has been signed to RCA for 20 years and has landed a string of successful releases over the course of her career. It looks like the latest rumor is just that. While you’re here, revisit the video for her latest single below!
