Nicki Minaj Is A Mermaid In Her New Video & Azealia Banks Isn’t Happy About It
Well, there’s nothing like a little drama to liven up a slow news day. Nicki Minaj was hoping to kickstart the Queen era by drumming up little excitement for her “Bed” video. She shared a couple of clips and a still that finds her dressed as a green-haired mermaid. Unfortunately, that triggered Azealia Banks, who has been rocking a similar look since Fantasea dropped in 2012. “Why does Nicki Minaj have to be so damn corny,” the rapper began one of her trademark Twitter rants. “Like sometimes it’s just like sis!!! Find some art!!! Please!!”
“It’s giving canned tuna sis,” she continued. “Your hips and booty too big for that mermaid tail.” Things then got even more personal when Azealia brought up Cardi B’s chart-topping success. “The truth of the matter is that the Nicki Minaj reign is up,” the “Anna Wintour” hitmaker opined. “I saved her from Iggy but she didn’t follow through on the plan to save her from Cardi. Now Cardi is going to eat her alive and there’s nothing I can do. I’m done with her.” Her final verdict? “Stick a fork in it. She’s done.”
