It’s Here! Niall Horan’s “Finally Free” Is A Buoyant Anthem

It’s here! Niall Horan kicked off the week by announcing that he had had a song called “Finally Free” on the way. The former One Directioner contributed the track to the Small Foot soundtrack. And he had nothing but positive things to say about the animated film, which is due for a September release. “From the minute I seen a small clip from it, I was in straight away… it’s a must see,” he said of the project. His track arrived today (July 6), and it is equally essential listening. On it, he sings about feeling fully liberated in the arms of a lover. “Standing here on our own. Yeah, the first steps the hardest when you’re walking into the unknown,” he announces over strings. Moving into the chorus, the production picks up as he finds strength in his relationship.

“When you’re right here beside me there’s nothing else I need. Your eyes keep me reminded that nothing’s out of reach. When you’re with me, it feels like I’m finally free.” The anthem is another buoyant hit from the Irishman. All things considered, I would not be remotely surprised if this found plenty of love. It manages to capitalize on the folksy vibes of his debut album, Flicker, and the uplifting message is perfect for the summer months. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old also recently turned his attention to the Maren Morris-assisted “Seeing Blind” off his album. The pair released an acoustic rendition of their duet last month, and, off their combined star power, it may become the album’s third top 20 hit in the US. Give Niall’s latest track a spin below!
