‘The Four’ Winner Evvie McKinney Drops Debut Single “How Do You Feel”
Fox’s singing competition The Four has only been on the air one year, but it already has a pretty good track record of breaking talent. 17-year-old Zhavia, who actually came last on the show, recently landed a Diplo feature and touched the upper reaches of iTunes with her debut single, “Candlelight.” Now it’s the winner’s turn. Evvie McKinney immediately stood out with her powerful pipes and they are well showcased on “How Do You Feel” — a power ballad executive-produced by Diddy.
“I knew Evvie was special from the moment she walked on that stage, she had that star quality and an incredible voice,” he says of the budding diva, who was quickly signed to Republic Records. “I have a good intuition about talent and I got that feeling with her. This song is a smash and this the just the beginning of her journey.” With Diddy in her corner, the Memphis, Tennessee native could go far. Watch her perform “How Do You Feel” live on The Four below.
