Camila Cabello's 'Camila': Album Review
Does the rising pop star's self-titled debut album live up to the hype?

It looks like Camila Cabello is rolling out “Real Friends” as the third single from her chart-topping debut album. The breakout star is reportedly opting for a remix of the contemplative bop featuring Swae Lee. The evidence? There’s a cover floating around on social media as well as a prospective release date (of August 17). The Rae Sremmurd rapper added fuel to the fire by randomly tweeting that the former Fifth Harmony diva is “fye.” Given the “Havana” hitmaker’s track record this could be big.

After topping the charts with the aforementioned single, Camila backed it up with another smash in the form of “Never Be The Same.” (It peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100). Since then, she has lent her voice to a collaboration with Pharrell called “Sangria Wine” and jumped on a remix of Bazzi’s “Beautiful.” I think “Real Friends” is a good choice that will find love on multiple radio formats, but “She Loves Control” deserves its moment too. Revisit the original version of “Real Friends” below.
