The K-Pop kings have done it again. Today (August 24) BTS unveiled their new album, Love Yourself: Answer. The double release features tracks off older collections as well as new bops such as the project’s lead single “IDOL” and several remixes. And the rumors were true. Nicki Minaj dropped by for a remixed version of the lead single, which closes out the project. Showing off her support for the legendary septet, she contributed a fierce verse to the high-octane production. That’s not all though. To celebrate, the group dropped a video for “IDOL,” and it is another visual spectacular. Delivering intricately choreographed routines, unspeakably chic looks and vibrant sets, they have another viral sensation on their hands. In just over 5 hours, the release has racked up more than 16 million views on YouTube.

Unsurprisingly, BTS has dominated US iTunes once again with the project. Love Yourself: Answer claimed the top spot on the Top Albums chart, and they occupy 9 of the top 10 spots on the Top Songs chart. At the time of publishing “IDOL” bows out at number one, and the Nicki-assisted remix is at number 5. This all but guarantees another historic showing on the charts next week. In fact, it seems like the boy band makes another piece of history with each release. “DNA,” the lead single from EP Love Yourself: Her, became their (then) highest-charting song in 2017 when it peaked at number 67 — only to be eclipsed by “Fake Love,” which debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. That song was the focus single from their recent album, Love Yourself: Tear, which topped the Billboard 200. If things keep up, they will likely top the chart once again.
