ABIR Cuts Loose In Cinematic “Young & Rude” Video: Premiere

ABIR is shaping up to be one of the breakout stars of 2018. The newcomer, who first made waves with a string of club features including Cash Cash’s blazing “Finest Hour,” recently inked a deal with Atlantic Records and wasted no time in rolling out her major label debut single. The amazingly-titled “Young & Rude” arrives today (September 20) and it’s an instantly anthemic pop song about letting your hair down and living in the moment. Those themes are conveyed perfectly in the video, which we are excited to premiere below.

Directed by Shomi Patwary (his videography includes Beyoncé’s “No Angel” and Belly & The Weeknd’s “Might Not”), the cinematic clip finds ABIR on a dusty, desert road-trip with her boyfriend. The Moroccan-born, New York-based diva then goes on something of crime spree — or does she? “It’s part Bonnie & Clyde, but the male lead in the video (model Gene Twedt) was not an accomplice or in on the action, he was held captive to my Young & Rude ways,” the newcomer says of the video. “I’m always here for a female empowerment moment!”

Fall in love with ABIR and her wild ways below.
