Robyn isn’t playing games as she prepares to return to the forefront of music. The Swedish pop star has made a splash since announcing the imminent arrival of her new LP, Honey. Listing the likes of Prince, Donna Summer, George McCrae, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson as influences in an interview with Out magazine, the release gets more exciting by the day. Yesterday (September 24), she added to the thill by confirming the final tracklist in a post on social media. “This is the track list for the album,” she wrote in a caption. “I’ve had it ready for months, so strange how it came together even before all the songs were finished. Never had that happen before; more or less in the order I wrote them.”

The album includes lead single, “Missing U,” which arrived earlier this summer. It also features the title track. Fans are already familiar with it as an earlier iteration was featured on an episode of Lena Dunham’s Girls last year. A profile in the New York Times provided some information about several others. “Human Being,” a collaboration with Zhala, was described as a spacey serving of future pop. “Baby Forgive Me” is said to feature a sensually throbbing production, while “Between The Lines” takes it back to the ’90s. Adam Bainbridge, also known as Kindness, worked on “Send To Robyn Immediately,” and it contains a sample of Lil Louis’ “French Kiss.”

However, the title track and album closer, “Ever Again,” sound like some of the most intriguing. Robyn described the title track as club music. “No, you’re not gonna get what you need,” she sings. “But baby, I have what you want. Come get your honey,” she adds on the ever-evolving anthem. Meanwhile the closer offers a departure from the sad-girl club anthems she is best known for. Instead it sees the hitmaker promise that she’s “never gonna be brokenhearted again.”
