Kylie Minogue Lends Her Voice To Sigala’s “What You Waiting For”

Before she wound up in Nashville and discovered country music, Kylie Minogue’s 14th LP was going to be a dance-pop opus. The legendary diva sought our club-land’s biggest names and cut tracks with the likes of DJ Fresh and Sigala. The latter even the jumped the gun and announced the collaboration in an interview with The Sun. “I’m influenced a lot by the Nineties so it makes sense for me to work with her,” he revealed. “It fitted really well.” As for the sound? “It’s cool that it sounds throwback but it needs to sound modern as well to take Kylie’s career forward.”

Happily, the track will finally see the light of day on Friday (September 28) with the arrival of the DJ’s debut LP. Kylie features a banger called “What You Waiting For” and it sounds like a massive tune from the snippet posted on Sigala’s Instagram story (below). As much as I love Golden, there’s nothing like hearing the pop icon’s voice soar over a chunky club beat. Other featured artists on Brighter Days include Paloma Faith, Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor, Craig David, Sean Paul, The Vamps, Cheat Codes and MAX.
