The elusive chanteuse has been keeping very busy lately. Mariah Carey made a statement with the release of her sassy anthem, “GTFO,” and the world is listening closely. Since then she has snatched headlines (and weaves) after unveiling a sensual video and inspiring a new wave of memes. The living legend also live premiered the track at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival over the weekend. And today (September 25), she revealed that she will take the stage to deliver a performance at the 2018 American Music Awards. “I’m coming back to the #AMAs!!! Can’t wait for you all to see my performance at the @AMAs on Tuesday, October 9th at 8/7c on ABC,” she announced in a post on Instagram.

Billboard is reporting that Mimi will use the opportunity to highlight her new single, “With You.” The anthem is scheduled to drop October 5, just a few days before the AMAs take place in Los Angeles. It will become the lead single to her forthcoming fifteenth studio album, so expectations are high. She joins an already star-studded list of performers including the likes of Carrie Underwood, Post Malone and Imagine Dragons. This morning Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid joined the fray, and they are expected to bring the heat with a rendition of “Eastside.” In the meantime, Cardi B and Drake lead the field of nominees. Both nabbed eight nominations a piece, and the competition is expected to be fierce.
