Lady Gaga Teases “Is That Alright?” Off ‘A Star Is Born’ Soundtrack

Lady Gaga is gearing up for the release of A Star Is Born in a serious way. The 32-year-old is already netting critical acclaim for her starring role in the film, and she is just as actively involved in the accompanying soundtrack. Both projects drop October 5. In the meantime, Mother Monster provided a teaser of one of the 14 new songs she contributed to the collection. Yesterday (September 24), she uploaded a minute-long preview of “Is That Alright?” to social media. Set to a video featuring buzz footage from the film, her voice soars over an evocative production. “I want you to look right in my eyes. To tell me you love me, to be by my side. I want you at the end of my life,” she belts. “I wanna see your face, wanna fall with grace at the moment I die. Is that alright?”

Hopefully we will have an opportunity to hear more music from the soundtrack ahead of its release date. In a recent interview with Vogue, the siren teased out two other cuts – “Look What I Found” and “Before I Cry.” The former was described as a “jaunty, mid-tempo banger” that is likely to induce signing and dancing, while the latter is a “a huge, soaring, sad ballad.” The soundtrack is one of three new musical projects we’re expecting from the icon. She is also hard at work on a follow-up to 2016’s Joanne and is rumored to be recording another jazz LP with Tony Bennett. We don’t know too many specifics about either of these projects yet. But hopefully we’ll know more after A Star Is Born arrives. Currently, Gaga is making headlines for the gorgeous looks she has worn at various premieres and film festivals.
