Hanna & Andrea's Debut Single
Zara Larsson's baby sister makes her pop debut as one half of Hanna & Andrea.

It’s not easy to carve out an identity of your own when you have a world-famous sibling, particularly when your passion leads you to the same industry. That’s the situation Hanna Larsson (younger sister of Zara) found herself in when she launched a music career in 2016 as one half of Hanna & Andrea. The duo made a good impression with a pure-pop single called “Always On My Mind,” but ultimately decided to move away from Sweden’s signature sound on future material.

The talented teens reemerged on Friday (September 21) as lennixx, showcasing their soulful, new direction on a six-track EP called hapap. Evoking the blissed-out, late-night sounds of Sabrina Claudio and Alina Baraz, the duo seduces with slinky slow jams like “selfless,” “PUSHoVER” and “stranger.” This is the kind of body of work that needs to be played from beginning to end, but if I had to select a favorite, it would probably be the bruising and universally relatable “traded up.” Stream the EP in full below.
