Lost Hit: Lady Gaga's 'Gypsy'
Lady Gaga missed out on a surefire hit with her anthemic 'Artpop' cut 'Gypsy.'

The wait is (finally) over. Little Monsters have been clamoring for Lady Gaga to release her cover of Chic’s “I Want Your Love” since a version of it appeared in 2015. The 32-year-old revamped the ’70s classic for Tom Ford’s 2016 Spring/Summer collection and appeared alongside a slew of models in a video from the campaign. And today (September 28), fans are finally able to stream the reimagined anthem. A final version appears on Chic and Nile Rodgers’ new album, It’s About Time, and the update is as divine as ever. On it, the disco darling belts out the timeless chorus with pure conviction. Her voice sounds sublime, and it is an absolute treat.

This has been a particularly bountiful week for Mother Monster. The icon teased us with a preview of her evocative A Star Is Born ballad, “Is That Alright?,” leaving us all wanting more. Thankfully our prayers were answered. She generously rolled out the country-tinged “Shallow” yesterday. The cut features vocals from co-star Bradley Cooper and promises big things for the rest of the soundtrack. We will be blessed with 13 more new songs from the siren when it drops October 5. The Las Vegas showgirl is rumored to be working on a follow-up to 2016’s Joanne and was seen in the recording studio with jazz legend Tony Bennett. So if we are truly lucky even more music is on the way.

It’s About Time features additional collaborations with the likes of Elton John and Hailee Steinfeld. Revisit Gaga’s “I Want Your Love” below and check out the rest of the LP here!
